Giovanni received his certification in Massage Therapy from the Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork. At the same time, he also studied the intensive seminars of St. John Neuromuscular Therapy which also includes: Trigger Points, Visceral Manipulation, Cranial Compression/Decompression and Atlas-Axis Stabilization. He then further developed his career as a health practitioner with Craniosacral Therapy, Bio-Mechanics (Spinal Touch Treatment), Kinesiology (Touch for Health), German New Medicine, Movement Therapy and finally two years at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Giovanni’s main focus is on the field of rehabilitation and chronic pain conditions. By careful listening to the patient’s concerns, and after a thorough assessment exam, Giovanni keeps an open mind in choosing the tools that are best suited for each individual patient. This approach helps the individual’s body to make its own changes and allows the body to use its own ability to heal itself. To promote faster recovery and achieve the healing goals the patient has set for himself or herself, he will give light movement exercises and propose lifestyle changes when appropriate. Giovanni understands that it is not him who is doing the healing, but that the health practitioner is only a vehicle. He knows that the healing comes from the patient’s own connection with a higher power. Because of his high standard of care for the well-being of every patient, he will not hesitate to guide a patient to seek help with a practitioner better suited to assist with a particular condition. Giovanni has previously worked successfully at and in connection with several chiropractic offices in the Twin Cities area and he has brought his extensive knowledge and training to Marty Chiropractic & Nutrition exclusively. He was also an Instructor of Bodywork Therapy and the Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork. The exposure to those environments gave him a wealth of knowledge, understanding and great self-confidence in the health field.

Giovanni grew up in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. He has lived in the USA since 1997. Prior to entering the health and healing profession, he had the opportunity to travel extensively around the world while he worked as a professional Cameraman Operator for Swiss Television. Giovanni speaks five languages, continues to educate himself, loves reading, playing tennis and likes different styles of Oriental movement such as Qigong and Tai Chi.
